#7 - Elliott Erwitt

Elliott Erwitt is an advertising and documentary photographer from France who is known for his black and white candid shots of ironic and absurd situations within everyday settings.

From his photos, i admire his very sense of humour when looking at the world, as well as his straightforward and nonsensical philosophies about photography.

His photos showed the very natural part of people daily life in very interesting way,
his photos recorded the details that usually we don't notice, from the very natural expression on their face to their actions.

Even though the photos are black and white, his photos still show the emotions. I personally find that he doesn't really plan to take a photo. You need to always wander around without a specific destination in mind.

And there is where you press the shutter.

We don't have to be too serious and hardcore to take a random candid shot , " I am serious to not to be serious " is what he said.

Elliott: " The important thing is management of time, because there’s so much going around. There’s so many things happening that take your concentration away from things that you want to be doing. What I want to be doing is taking pictures. Management of time becomes more complicated as your photographic life gets complicated."
